Rezac started his criminal defense services in 2010 as a volunteer with the Neighborhood Justice Center. For a year and a half, he served as a clerk and certified student attorney for NJC providing over 700 hours of public legal services to the community. Rezac received the "Living the Mission Award" for his volunteer efforts while attending the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Upon graduating, Rezac was employed through Kamrath Law Group, a firm dedicated to the same social and civil efforts that Rezac Law is now based upon. Rezac received the Ramsey County Pro Bono Award in 2015 based upon his volunteer work for the Neighborhood Justice Center, numerous other pro bono cases, as well as providing sliding scale, fixed fees for low-income criminal defendants.
